What is the Daily 5? The Daily 5 is a structure for teaching five literacy tasks using differentiation in which students work independently, in small groups, and one on one with the teacher. What is CAFE? CAFE is an acronym for Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency, and Expanding Vocabulary. It includes strategies for students to become better readers. This site and all of its contents are based on the books, The Daily 5 and The CAFE Book, by Gail Boushey and Joan Moser. |
